Top 10 most beautiful Nigerian footballers

Nigeria female football has come of age.  Back to the days of Mercy Akide, Rita Nwadike etc.  I will profile the top 10 present most beautiful female footballers from our great country Nigeria:

Onome Ebi is a Nigerian football defender currently playing for FC Minsk in the Belarusian Premier League and the Nigeriaan national team.

Club career

She played for Bayelsa Queens FC in the Nigerian Women's Championship before moving to Pitea IF and Djurgardens IF in Sweden's Damallsvenskan.
She then played for Turkish sides Duvenciler Lisesispor and Atasehir Belediyespor at the First League.
She made her Champions League debut in August 2012 while playing for AtaÅŸehir Belediyespor.
She returned to the Swedish Damallsvenskan in 2013 to play for Sunnana SK before going to Belarus to play for FC Minsk in the Belarusian Premier League.
International Career
She is a member of the Nigerian national team, taking part in the 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015 editions of the FIFA Women's World Cup and the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
She was also a member of the Nigerian squad in the 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2014 editions of the African Women's Championship, winning the tournament twice (2010 and 2014).

  • Cecilia Ngibo Nku is a Nigerian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Norwegian side, Medkila IL. She last played in Nigeria for Rivers Angels in Port Harcourt, of the Nigerian Women's Championship, after joining them from Bayelsa Queens.
    Benue state born midfield maestro Cecilia, had her first international action in 2010 while playing for Nigeria in the 2010 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. She was part of the senior Nigerian squad which won the 2014 African Women's Championship in Namibia. In May 2015 Nku was called up to play for team Nigeria in the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup.

    • Super Falcons’ delectable midfielder Ngozi Sonia Okobi plays for Swedish elite women club, Vittsjo GIK.  Ngozi Sonia Okobi had a brief spell with American Women’s Soccer League club, Washington Spirit FC, after the FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada, 2015.  Okobi, was formerly of Delta Queens of Warri, in the Nigeria Women's Championship.  She was voted 'man of the match' against Sweden at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada.

    International career

    She is a member of the Nigerian national team, with which she played the FIFA Women's World Cup tournaments of 2011 and 2015. As a junior international she scored 2 goals in the 2010 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup and 3 goals in the 2012 edition, including winners in the group stage and quarterfinals.
    Oparanozie was also part of the Nigerian squads of the African Women's Championship of 2010 and 2014, winning both tournaments.

    Club career

    She started her career at Bayelsa Queens in the Nigerian Women's Championship and moved to Delta Queens in 2010. She then spent 2 months on loan at Duvenciler Lisesispor in the Turkish Women's Fisrt Football League in 2011, before returning to Delta Queens.
    In 2012 she joined Rossiyanka from the Russian Women's Football Championship, with them she played four matches at the 2012 -13 UEFA Women's Champions League, scoring one goal.
    She joined Bundesliga club Vfl Wolfsburg for the 2013–14 season signing a two-year contract.  In the first half of the season, she only appeared in one game, and mostly played for Wolfsburg's second team. In the winter, after half a season, she left Wolfsburg. On 21 February 2014, Oparanozie transferred to Atasehir Belediyespor to play the second half of the season in the Turkish Women's First Football League.
    For the 2014–15 she joined Guingamp of the French Division 1 Feminine.

    • Asisat Lamina Oshoala is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays for Arsenal Ladies of the FA WSL as a forward.  She was named best player and was the highest goal scorer at the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. She was also named best player and second top goalscorer with the Super Falcons team who won the 2014 African Women's Championship

      Club career

      On 23 January 2015, Oshoala joined Liverpool Ladies from Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt. Liverpool manager, Matt Beard called her "one of the best young players in the world". Although rumours had linked her with other clubs, she was very happy to join Liverpool.
      Oshoala missed two months of the 2015 season with a knee injury, as defending champions Liverpool finished seventh of eight teams. In January 2016 Liverpool reported that a transfer bid from Arsenal Ladies had activated the release clause in Oshoala's contract and that she was discussing personal terms with the London club.

      International career

      Oshoala found success as a forward for Nigeria's youth teams but made most of her early appearances for the senior national team as an attacking midfielder. She was nicknamed "Seedorf" after male footballer Clarence Seedorf and has also been referred to as "Superzee" by her teammates.
      She was named best player and with seven goals was also the top goal scorer at the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. She was also named best player and second top goalscorer with the Super Falcons team who won the 2014 African Women's Championship.  She also won the BBC Women's Footballer of the Year 2015.
      In September 2014 Oshoala was made a Member of the Order of the Niger by President of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan.  On 8 June 2015 in Winnipeg, Canada, Oshoala opened her senior FIFA Women's World Cup account by scoring Nigeria's second goal in a 3–3 draw with Sweden.

      4. Bidemi Aluko


    Bidemi is a Nigerian professional footballer.  Nicknamed "Abidec" by her team mates, she is a very good goal keeper with sharp-reflexes.  She plays for Rivers Angels FC, Port Harcourt.  The Ekiti state born footballer, was part of Nigeria's U17 FIFA Women's World Cup team, 2010 in Trinidad and Tobago.

    Charity Omalicha John plays for Rivers Angels FC of Port Harcourt.  She is a fantastic goalkeeper who is always composed in goal.  She is the Captain of Rivers Angels FC, Port Harcourt.  Charity played for Nigeria at 2008 U20 Female World Cup in Chile and All African Games in Congo, 2015. The Isuochi born player, in Abia state is a very smart goalkeeper who cordinates her team well.

    • Francisca Mlumun Ordega a.k.a. Franny, is a Nigerian professional soccer player who also plays for Washington Spirit in the National Women's Soccer League, USA.  The Gboko, Benue state born striker is a good finisher.  
    • Club career

      Ordega began her career at the youth level for Bayelsa Queens, before being promoted to the professional side in 2008 where she played at Nigerian Women's Championship. In 2011 she moved to Rivers Angels, a top club in Nigeria. A year later, sign with Russian Women's Football Championship club Rossiyanka. From 2013 to 2015, she played for Pitea IF in the Swedish Damallsvenkan. Ordega then moved across the North Atlantic and signed with Washington Spirit in the National Women's Soccer League.

      International career

      Ordega represented the Nigeria women's national football team in all levels. With the under 17, she played the 2010 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup and with the under 20 at 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. At senior level she played in the FIFA Women's World Cup tournaments of 2011 and 2015. At the latter she opened her World Cup account by scoring Nigeria's equalizing goal against Sweden on 8 June 2015 in Winnipeg, Canada. The pulsating match ended 3–3 in the opening game of Group D.
      She was also part of Nigeria's squads at the African Women's Championship of 2010 and 2014, winning both tournaments.

      Tochukwu Oluehi is a Nigerian footballer who plays for Norwegian side, Medkila IL. She last played in Nigeria for Rivers Angels in Port Harcourt, of the Nigerian Women's Championship, after joining them from Sunshine Queens.   Tochi was best known for her heroics in the 2015 Federation Cup where she saved many penalty kicks for Sunshine Queens.  The Ideato-born, Imo state goalkeeper is fair in complexion and is engaged to another footballer, Hope Rally who plays in Nepals.
      Tochukwu played for Nigeria at FIFA Women's World Cup in 2007 and 2011. Women's Olympic Football Tournament 2008 in China.
