Fuel Tanker Explosion That Caused Panic In Asokoro Area Of Abuja
An explosion caused by fuel tanker at Rano Filling Station in Asokoro
Area of Abuja on Friday night caused panic as residents thought it was
another bomb explosion.
The explosion which occurred around 8.15pm when the tanker was discharging its content and caught fire as a result of an electric spark led to a fire that later engulfed the tanker and a bus that was parked near the station.
Military personnel were immediately drafted to the scene and condoned off the station while firefighters battled to put off the fire. However, the firefighters and their equipment could not contain the blazing tanker until the tanker and the bus were completely burnt down.
