Kate Middleton's Favorite Picture Of Prince George From Australia Is..
Kate Middleton and Prince George
We're still in severe Royal Family withdrawal, days later, now that Kate, George, and William have left Australia and returned to the U.K. Waking up each morning without a new Prince George pout or bright, monochromatic Kate Middleton outfit awaiting us has not been easy. We even acquired an oversize stuffed wombat over the weekend-but it's only making us miss 'em more. Thankfully, we have hundreds of photos (many of which can be found on this very site!) to at least ease in this transition. And many of these photos are of Prince George-George cavorting with other children, George communing with animals, George crying, George frowning, George smiling, George wailing. There's basically a Prince George photo for every mood you could possibly have.
And now we have learned that Kate herself has a favorite Prince George
photo (as you detectives out there may have surmised, it's the one
accompanying this post). This shot, taken by New Zealand photographer
Simon Woolf, was snapped during George's group play date in Wellington on April 9.

Woolf told reporters that Kate gave him quite the ultimate résumé quote, after he showed her the shot: "She [the Duchess] said it was just lovely and that it was her favorite photo of the tour." He said he delivered her a black-and-white version of the photograph, when the New Zealand portion of the tour ended. Now it is possible that Kate-whom Woolf said "has such a wonderful heart"-just says this to every photographer who shows her a picture, in order to make them feel good, and it should also be noted that this purported interaction took place before the Australia leg of the tour even happened, but-since this is one of our favorite George photographs from the trip, as well-we're going to go ahead and say this is conclusively, 100 percent, unequivocally Kate's favorite photo taken of her son Down Under.
