NFF Earmarks N941m For Super Eagles Campaign

 Eagles
The Super Eagles will not encounter any financial problem in picking the Morocco 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) ticket ahead of other Group A opponents, comprising South Africa, Sudan and any of Namibia/Congo Brazzaville and Libya/Rwanda, as the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has earmarked the sum of N941 million to prosecute the qualifiers and pre-tournament training camp.
In the financial plan concerning the tournament contained in the document the football federation submitted to the National Assembly and made available to the media, the Glass House revealed that while it would expend the sum of N509 million to prosecute the four away qualifiers, the four home matches would gulp N325 million.
According to the financial plan, the federation further revealed that the pre-tournament foreign training camp in a yet to be decided country for the biennial continental football fiesta would gulp the total sum of N106 million, disclosing that Eagles gaffer would embark on the trip with 40 players and 12 officials.
Giving a further breakdown of the expenditure profiles, the football federation noted that while accommodation during the four home matches would take N15 million, they would expend N4 million to accommodate the visiting teams on transit from Lagos before hitting the venue of the matches, adding that it would also spend N1.4 million to hire cars for the match officials and leaders of delegations of the visiting teams at the rate of N50,000 per day for seven days.
Interestingly, the debate over the players and officials’ winning match bonuses seemed to be rested finally, as the federation revealed that it would continue with the $10,000, explaining that while the 20 players would pocket $800,000 for winning the four home matches, the head coach and eight members of his technical crew would share a total sum of $560,000.
To accommodate 20 Super Eagles players at N30,000 per room per night for seven days during the four home matches, the federation disclosed that it had earmarked the sum of N21 million, while the security during the four matches would take N3 million at N750,000 each match just as media coverage  would gulp N4 million.
It was almost the same expenditure during the four away matches apart from the sum of N69.12 million set aside for return tickets for the players and technical crew, N28.6 million for the federation eggheads and government officials just as it earmarked N17.28 million for the same purpose for the accountant alone during the four away matches.
The estacode allowances during the away matches took greater chunk of the N509 million set aside to prosecute the away matches, as that of the leader of the delegation for the four matches would smile to the bank with the sum of $11,900 (about N2 million) just as that of the president and General Secretary  would get $16,800 and $11,900 respectively.
