Ogun Police Recover Head Of Beheaded Boy
The Ogun State Police Command has disclosed that it has recovered head of the two-year-old boy, who was beheaded at Ofada Village in Obafemi Owode Loal Government Council of the state.
Spokesperson of the command, Muyiwa Adebajo, spoke through a statement issued on Thursday in Abeokuta, the state capital.
Adebajo said that the suspect led police investigation team to a bush in Mokola area of Ibadan in Oyo State where the head was recovered Tuesday.
He added that the suspect has confessed to the crime, though he is still concealing some information on other members of the gang.
The spokesperson emphasised that Commissioner of Police in the state, Ikemefuna Okoye, has directed that efforts should be intensified to apprehend other members of the gang and “those who buy such things.”
It would be recalled that police arrested a suspected ritual killer on April 1 for beheading the boy after raping his mother.
The suspect, however, failed to disclose where the head was or what he did with it.
