2014 World Cup: Yobo Allays Injury Scare

Joseph Yobo has dispelled fears about his World Cup fitness despite missing out on some games in the last month with a calf injury.
The Norwich City defender said he would return for Sunday’s Premier League trip to Chelsea after returning to full training this week.
There had been concerns he would be a doubt for Nigeria at the World Cup but his imminent return has put fans’ minds at rest.
Yobo, who is on loan at Carrow Road from Turkish side Fenerbahce, has been absent since the 1-0 home defeat to West Bromwich on April 5.
“I have been declared fit by the doctors at Norwich and I can confirm to you I will make the squad for the final two games against Chelsea and Arsenal,” the 33-year-old told Daily Mail.
“I have been training with the full squad since last week. I was omitted from the squad announced last weekend for precautionary reasons.
“The last two games of the season are crucial and they want me to play a part because it will determine our fate in the Premier League.
“I will be fit for the national team. I am super fit and there is no cause for alarm.”
Yobo has made eight appearances for the Canaries since moving there on loan in January.
Norwich are currently tied on points with Sunderland but find themselves in the relegation zone on goal difference with two matches to play.
