BRAZIL 2014: NFF, Keshi Decide Eagles’ List May 6
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Super Eagles handler, Stephen Keshi will finally unveil the Eagles’ Brazil 2014 World Cup list on May 6, four days ahead of May 10 deadline given by FIFA for the list to get to Zurich.
Daily Sunsports gathered last night that the NFF technical committee will on May 6 return to the board room for another round of parley with Keshi, after which Nigerians would be told the players who are in and out of the Brazil World Cup build up list.
A competent NFF source stated last night that the wait over Eagles list would end on May 6.
“The technical committee is meeting the coach again on May 6 and by then Keshi would definitely have finished his consultation and the Eagles’ list would be made public.”
It would be recalled that the NFF had last week ordered Keshi to make further consultations on his 35-man list in a bid to ensure that only the best get on the list and that it is free of players who are nursing injuries.
Technical committee member, Paul Bassey who spoke last week after the parley stated that there was no disagreement with the Eagles coach, insisting that the delay was only a measure aimed at ensuring that a thorough job is done.
