PSquare’s Peter VS Paul: Who Is Guilty?
Peter
Not much of a singer, he has succeeded in making himself relevant in the group by being a prolific dancer. In fact, he choreographs 90 per cent of PSquare’s dance steps and videos and is believed to have created the popular Alingo dance.
Paul
Believed to be the engine room of the group as far as singing is concerned, Paul, insiders say, composes 90 per cent of the songs with very little input from his twin brother, Peter. In fact, it is reported that Paul alongside Jude are the real musicians.
Though, there had been reports that all was not well at Squareville following Peter’s wedding to his heart throb, Lola Omotayo, Nigerians were shocked when Jude took to his handle and tweeted that it was sad that “after 10 years, it was finally all over.”
This triggered a fierce debate between fans of Peter and Paul regarding who should be blamed for the crisis and so today, the twins square up on Showdown! The question is who is guilty, Peter or Paul?
Lola is guilty –Frank Iyke Civil servant
If you want me to heap blames on anybody then it should be Lola. She could make this whole thing go away if she wants. She could call Peter to order if she truly desires it. She could find a way to settle with Jude if she wants. That’s how we know a true woman of honour. Whatever be the case, blood is thicker than water.
Peter is to blame –Baba D Baba, comedian
I blame Peter. Since he knows that his brothers are not in support of his marriage to Lola, he should try his best to avoid bringing matters of his wife and family to his business and brothers because every little mistake will be blamed on his wife and not him who made the mistake in the first place. In In fact, he shouldn’t discuss his wife and family with his brother at all because anything he says will escalate since his brothers don’t like Lola. This will always make him over react becauseno man likes watching while his wife is being disrespected.
Blame their late mum –Jimo Obi, Civil servant
Disagreement is common place among siblings but the question is, how do they resolve it? However it becomes tricky when it’s between twins and celebrities like P Square. I blame their late mother who instructed that Lola should not be accepted in the family because she’s not Igbo. Such discrimination is uncalled for. Even if they reconcile, the scars may never heal completely.
Peter is guilty –Nvene Paul, Civil servant
He disobeyed his mum which means he went against his late mum’s warnings and got married to Lola who is even older than Jude their older brother, Jude.
Paul is guilty –Fabian Anih, Civil Servant
Paul has always wanted this separation because he is always feeling marginalized by Peter and Jude.
Blame it on their wives – Sandra Nwafor Civil Servant
The twins were doing just great and shared everything until the ladies came into the picture. Instead of keeping that union, they have turned the brothers against themselves.
The ladies are at fault –Arinze Ibeanu Civil Servant
It’s obvious who’s behind all this, it’s the ladies. The reason is that ladies are very good at breaking up families.
Jude is guilty –Okonkwo Queen, business woman
Jude their elder brother has no regards for the wife of his younger brother, Peter. He has disrespected her for years forgetting the fact that she was pregnant and has two kids for his younger brother. What’s more, she is older than Jude so Jude should show some respect. Haba!
Peter`s wife Lola is guilty– Daniel Seke, Student
Lola is guilty because she should have abandoned the relationship knowing full well that everyone was against their wish to get married and since in Igbo tradition, it is not advisable for a man to get married to someone who is older than himself becasue it could breed disrespectit.
Jude is guilty -Uju Christiana, Student
For the lack of understanding towards his brother’s love life, Jude is guilty. His failure to attend Peter’s wedding ceremony speaks volumes.
It’s all Jude’s fault -James Okafor, civil servant
As the eldest, Jude is supposed to take charge and assume the role of the head of the family since their mum is late and then reconcile the twins. Rather he put up divisive posts on twitter and now he has caused so much havoc.
Blame it on Jude and Lola –Tajudeen Adesina, civil servant
The fact that Jude and Lola are at loggerheads speaks volumes. Peace will reign only if they both decide to settle their scores. However, the other option is outright break up and that would be the end of P Square. So Lola and Jude should swallow their overblown egos and make peace.
Lola and Jude can save P Square –Cynthia Okorie, civil servant
Lola is at the centre of the crisis rocking P Square and it’s because of the family’s disapproval of their marriage. Consequently, the solution is just for Lola and Jude to reconcile after which they both will reunite their estranged brothers.
