Prince George Is Having Playdates In Windsor Castle

When you are a future king, you don't go to any old playdate-only a castle will do! The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince George have been hosting afternoons of fun at the Queen's residence, Windsor Castle, while the monarch is out, Royal Watch has learned.

Kate and George were seen visiting the castle last Tuesday with George's godmother, Emilia Jardine Paterson, who has a toddler. According to a royal aide, Her Majesty was not at the castle at the time. Emilia is one of Kate's closest friends from school. She is also believed to have introduced William and Kate when they were 17, years before they met again at St. Andrews University.
A talented interior designer, Emilia also helped Kate out with some of the interiors at the newly refurbished Kensington Palace. Described by friends as "loyal and discreet," she has the requisite credentials for the Cambridge's inner circle. "Kate invited Emilia and the children to go and play," a source told Royal Watch. "Kate can't take George to public playdates for fear they will get photographed. She entertains a lot at Kensington Palace, but the Queen is also happy for her family to use Windsor when she's not in residence."
Although it doesn't have a swimming pool, Windsor Castle has extensive grounds and very high walls, which mean George and his pals can play in total privacy. A playdate fit for a little prince!
