Netherlands win 4-3 on penalties

Tim Krul came off the bench late in extra time and saved two spot-kicks as Netherlands beat Costa Rica on penalties to set up a World Cup semi-final against Argentina.

Krul saved from Bryan Ruiz and Michael Umana to send the Dutch through.
The game finished 0-0 after extra time, with Wesley Sneijder twice hitting the woodwork and Robin van Persie having an effort turned on to the bar.
The Dutch face Argentina, who beat Belgium, on Wednesday.
