Nigeria Remain In 42nd Place In November Fifa Ranking

Despite missing out of the 2015 African Cup of Nations, the Super Eagles are unmoved in the November Fifa ranking released on Thursday morning Nigeria’s senior national team maintained their 42nd position in the latest Fifa world ranking released on Thursday. The African champions were adjudged the same rank in the world according to the ranking released earlier in October. The Eagles are now the ninth-ranked African side behind Algeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Tunisia, Ghana, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Guinea and Senegal despite missing out of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations billed for Equatorial Guinea. Meanwhile Algeria remain at the summit of African football with 948 points which put them in the 18th position in the world while Tunisia are second in Africa and ranked 22 th in the world. Cote d’Ivoire stay third on the continent after amassing 842 points which places them in the 24th spot in the world. Germany, Argentina and Colombia hold the first, second and third spots in the world respectively as Fifa World Cup hosts Brazil retained their sixth spot in the world. Source:goal
