Celebrations In The Streets Of Port Harcourt As Gubernatorial Election Was Allegedly Cancelled

There was heavy and serious celebrations last night in the streets of Port Harcourt, as information of the Gubernatorial Election held in the state was allegedly cancelled. APC members were seen celebrating and some of their women were dancing as news spread that the result of the governorship election held in Rivers state on Saturday has been cancelled. The APC members went ahead to declare free drinks for their members and their friends. Guns and minor explosives were shot in the course of celebrating the news, that residents stayed indoors afraid that there were riots in the streets, only to be told that it was APC members who were celebrating the purported annulment of the governorship election won by the PDP candidate, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike. None of the celebrating members cared to know the source of the information or the authenticity of the information. No information to confirm the cancellation was made by INEC. Members of the Nigerian Police had to start a surveillance operation in the streets to maintain peace and order.
