The nanny who kidnapped three Lagos children in the Surulere area of Lagos State last week, who called herself Mary Akinloye, has confessed that she also kidnapped two kids (Raphael and Michael Esharegan) from Magodo last year.
Akinloye (not her real name) was arrested on Wednesday evening in the Shasha area of Lagos by men of the Nigerian Police Force after she was tracked by “technological tools.”
The PUNCH had reported how the children – Aderomola (11 months), Adedamola (four years) and Demola (six years) – were abducted by a nanny, Mary Akinloye, who was employed through the OLX, an online sales portal.

Allybay: The most important thing is that they are back safe and reunited with their parents. This should serve as a lesson to others who want to recruit domestic staff.
Ayandele Paul: The worth of a child is invaluable, much less three children. Whatever it cost to rescue them was worth it. Thank God they are reunited with their parents.
Otitokoro-ButSayIt: This should open our eyes to some of the things we can do to make family life easier. Must we use nanny? There should be accessible daycare centres where parents can pay per hour. This is the practice globally.
Dr. Hassan: This, indeed, is a lesson to Nigerians. Watch who you expose your children to.
