Rangers beat Rivers United 2 - 1 in re-scheduled league match
Rangers FC of Enugu defeated visiting Rivers United 2-1 in a re-scheduled league match today, Monday 31 July, 2017.
The match was called off yesterday, Sunday by 28 minutes of play after a heavy rain got the pitch water-logged.
The home side Rangers, were leading by 2-0 at first half, in a match which started by 8am Monday morning. On return in the second half, the visiting team improved and were rewarded with a goal towards the end of the match. Rangers held on the lead with delay tactics until the Referee ended the match.
The win gives Rangers a chance of avoiding relegation.
